## IFAB keeps Law 12 sharp: handball then goal

The IFAB’s 2026/27 Law quiz asked the classic: a defender uses hand/arm trying to stop a goal, and the ball still goes in. Correct call: play advantage, award the goal, no caution or sending-off — the attempt failed.

## Reckless challenge, two injured: Law 5 procedure

A second IFAB quiz covered a reckless challenge outside the area that leaves both players needing attention. Stop play, direct free kick to the fouled team, yellow card for the offender (who must leave for treatment); the fouled player may be assessed/treated quickly and stay.
