## Free kick while the ball is moving: advantage first

## Injured near the touchline: voluntary exit still counts

Another IFAB scenario covered a careless tackle near the touchline where the injured player voluntarily leaves during the stoppage so the free kick is not delayed. Under the off-field treatment and assessment protocol, a player who voluntarily leaves during play or a stoppage — without delaying the restart — is not required to serve the one-minute off-field period that applies when play is stopped for injury or on-field assessment/treatment.

## Grassroots is back — and the Code is the standard
