Introducing the new Ref-Vision — rebuilt for AI-assisted referee analysis
Ref-Vision has been rebuilt from the ground up. AI-assisted GPS import, collaborator feedback on video, and clearer performance views — all in one workspace for referees.
Over the past few weeks we have been heads-down on something big: a complete rebuild of Ref-Vision. Not a patch, not a reskin — a fresh platform designed around how referees actually review matches, track their movement, and work with coaches and assessors.
The result is live today. If you have used Ref-Vision before, you will recognise the purpose. Everything else has been rethought.
## Why we rebuilt
Referee analysis has always been split across too many places. Match footage in one app. GPS exports in another. Feedback buried in emails or voice notes that never quite line up with the clip.
We wanted one workspace where video, performance data, and coaching comments sit together — and where an assistant can help you make sense of it without losing context. That meant starting again, with AI at the heart of the experience rather than bolted on at the edge.
## AI that understands your matches
Every workspace and every match now includes a floating AI assistant. It knows your fixtures, your GPS sessions, your feedback history, and your tags — so you can ask practical questions and get answers grounded in your own data.
Want a quick overview before a review session? Need to spot trends across recent games? Curious what your mentor flagged last week? The assistant is there throughout, with the full match context already loaded. It steers you through analysis and next steps rather than sending you off to hunt for files.
## AI-assisted GPS import
Getting watch data onto a match used to mean wrestling with file formats, timestamps, and pitch alignment. We have rebuilt that flow around an AI-assisted import wizard.
Upload a GPX, CSV, or FIT export from Apple Watch, Garmin, Polar, Strava, RefSix, or similar — and the wizard handles the heavy lifting of normalising your data. You confirm pitch corners and sync offset against your footage, and the session lands on the match ready to explore.
From there, interactive heart-rate and speed graphs stay locked to the video timeline. Click a peak and jump straight to that moment in the clip. Sprint heatmaps show where you spent time on the pitch, with a follow marker that tracks your position as the footage plays.
## Collaborator feedback, tied to the video
Coaching only works when the note opens the right moment. In the new Ref-Vision, referees can invite up to ten coaches, mentors, or assessors into a workspace. Collaborators watch the same footage, leave timestamped comments on exact decisions, and tag key events — every note opens alongside the clip it refers to.
No more scrolling through a thread trying to remember which half a comment was about. Feedback sits next to sprint maps and health data, so reviewers can see the full picture when they leave a note and you can build a clear assessment trail across matches.
## Your data, in better view
Performance data is only useful when you can actually read it. The rebuilt workspace overview brings load, effort, coaching, and coverage into focused insight views — not just raw numbers on a spreadsheet.
On any match, you get a single page for video, feedback, tags, GPS charts, and heatmaps. Flags show at a glance whether a game has footage, GPS, or feedback attached. The platform infographic on our home page gives a sense of how it fits together: match overview, sprint maps, event timelines, and collaborative review in one place.
## Easier to use, end to end
Behind the scenes this is a new platform. What you will notice is simpler navigation, clearer flows, and less friction from upload to review.

For county FAs and referee organisations, the admin tooling is rebuilt too: invite members, manage workspaces, and oversee activity from your organisation console. Individual referees can start a self-serve plan if their county is not yet on the platform.
